After two days of storms I was ready to get out and take some winter pictures. The clouds broke just before sunset so I headed down to Utah Lake. This was as colorful as it got. For some reason the reds never developed. This photo is a five exposure HDR. I shot the picture at iso 200 and f/13. The yellow and oranges on the lake are broken into sections. This is due to ice starting to form on the lake. Where there was no ice there is a nice reflection. When I left work to take the picture the air temperature was 16 degrees fahrenheit with a wind chill of 5 degrees. The wind was blowing much harder over the lake.

I like the snow in the fourground.
I like the reflection on the water.
I like the rocks separating the water from the snow.
I would like to have more or less of the tree.
