Lonely Bridge

Lonely Bridge
I had wanted to go to this location all summer. This is Cascade Springs in Utah. It was hard convincing my wife to go with me. The year before this photo was taken was a bad memory for her. She was two weeks away from giving birth and we decided to go to the mountains for the cooler weather. Just as we arrived at Cascade Springs I ran over a small metal rod sticking out of the dirt road. It sliced a large hole in the car. If she had gone into labor on this day I would have been history.

The Specs
f22
1/2 second exposure
overexposed by .7
iso 200

We were here on this day at high noon with no clouds in the sky. If you want to blur the water with full sun you need to set the iso low, use one or more neutral density filters, low iso, and low f stop. To process this photo I used Lightroom 2 and several Topaz plugins.

I like how the bridge is not centered.
I like how the bridge leads the eye from left to right.
I like how the path on the left is only partial. This gives a sense of mystery.
I would like to shot this picture during the morning or evening.

Let me know what you think.
